I grabbed a few shots on the way home (and at home) last night, simply because I wanted to see what this new 70-200mm F/4L could do… I would simply note 2 things:

1st: The shot of Meyer was done in HORRIBLE light, handheld (although braced), and at ISO 1600.

2nd: The shot of the flower up close is a test. It’s a %100 crop of one of the photos, as I wanted to see how sharp this lens is at 200mm, and *almost* wide open (F/5). Needless to say, I AM IMPRESSED! This lens (on the 30D), is my new girlfriend!

 

Just a few pics. None of these are all that great, but I just HAD to play with it last night, so I thought I would share…
The shot of Gadget (the cat, duh), was in absolutely HORRIBLE light, and at ISO1600…
